RedlineTuning Hood lift kit installed on my Koup:

NO MORE Hood prop-open bar!!!

Install instructions are very good.

Need:
automotive green tape
a pop-rivet gun with 3/16" adapter
#11 drill bit...buy one, better than using a 3/16 inch drill bit!
Drill

Took me 30 minutes to install. Used a sheet to cover the engine compartment for metal flakes from drilling. Hood raises on its' own about halfway up.

that's pretty neat, it was one of the things that i feel is missing.
Actually...I felt silly while writing my post out..."look what I put on my car" Blush ...should be standard equipmentCool.

The position of the 2 pneudraulic cylinders under my Forte's hood are exactly where the factory pneudraulic cylinders are on my 2003 Sorento...
Hey KoupCoupe , thanks for the write up , how's the closing of the hood?
Smooth 1 hand? or 2 handed wide grab? I've seen the video and the opening seems very smooth was wondering if the opposite action was the same Huh

Closing is not difficult. You can no longer just let-the-hood-go to close it. It now closes like my other Kias with the factory lift cylinders -- one handed push. I'm not sure how to explain it...but the cylinders seem to "let go" once you get close to closing the hood.

thanks appreciate the feedback , perfectly make sense ,I did not want to have something too hard on the hood
These lifts really help...especially after washing tha car...now when I dry under the hood it is easier to catch the water coming out of the seal at the front of the hood without needing three hands...LoL
Totally buying this, and havent even taken delivery yet.
A true Koup fanatic in the making...LoL!
