Special Order Question

Is it possible to special order a Kia? I'm going to buy my wife a Forte 5 door but can't find the color and options I'm looking for. The dealer said they can check around with other dealerships and have one trucked in but I've had bad luck with that in the past. I'd prefer to just order one and wait for the factory to build it.

You can't order from Kia, believe me we tried. We wanted a tech package but there were none available in the state. We got one without it...

All the dealers I talked to said the same thing. The explanation they gave me was decent though. They said that Kia keeps the option packages simple so special ordering wouldn't be required to get exactly what you want. It also helps the manufacturer keep costs down which in turn keeps the price of Kias relatively low.
