Severely Abbreviated Tread Life
I own an '10 SX Koup with the 215 45/R17 Goodyear LS Eagle rubber. The vehicle has just over 23,000 km and the tires are almost completely worn. The vehicle is not abused and I've followed the recommended schedules for rotation. I'm really disappointed with the service life of these tires, especially considering that they're Goodyear rubber, not brand X. Has anybody else encountered similar problems?

Want a good laugh. Check the tires for where they were made...

These tires have a 6 year warranty. I'd take your car by a Goodyear dealer and see if they'll stand by their product. Most reviews I've read people are getting over 50K miles on these tires, but most hated the tires just the same.

RE: Severely Abbreviated Tread Life
The Goodyear Eagle LS2 on the SX models does not have a milage warranty. My wife had a bubble develop on one and we had it replaced under warranty at a Goodyear dealer (manufacturing defect) and I asked about tire life. They told me if if was religious about rotating and was not a hard driver I could get maybe 35K miles out of them. My wife's were replaced at 32K, still had a little tread left, but a tire dealer was having a $5 over cost sale and with winter coming on we went ahead and got new tires (Continental Extreme Contact DWS). Much better tire and it does have a 50K milage rating.[/u]

RE: Severely Abbreviated Tread Life
It's my understanding that the owner is SOL as far as claims against the manufacturer for factory original rubber (which is itself a big crock) If I were to go to Goodyear and purchase four tires exactly as what are on the vehicle now, then I would have some recourse, but NOT with the original tires.
