Information Product Review: RRM Pulley
Just installed the Road Race Motorsports Crank Pulley for the Kia Forte. Should've taken picture during install but was doing it solo and just wanted it done, my mistake. If anyone experiences, and is annoyed by the slight dip the car goes into in 3rd gear, this is a pretty good remedy and good part for further modification I think. Have not driven it long enough to give you a change in gas mileage, although that was not something I was looking to improve. Smoother acceleration is definitely the first thing I noticed after a few hard runs. You will still experience a slight dip in the higher gears when you aren't in the Forte's prime power band but it catches up with itself quicker than with the 4lb original pulley. Price is a bit steep at $170, but a good buy for those with further modification plans. They offer a Stage 1 kit (Short Ram Air Intake w/heatshield, ECU mount, and Crank Pulley) for $339 if anyone does not have an intake, but wants one as well as the pulley. Personally I went with a cheaper, longer intake from turbokits.com and saved about $40 ordering them separately. Mind you, I did not buy the ECU mount since I car about performance more than how pretty my engine bay looks.
