New to Kia
Just signed the papers for my 2012 Kia Forte EX so I have a lot to learn about this car. The first question I have is, is there not any aftermarket support for it yet? I can't seem to find any parts for it.

RE: New to Kia
Welcome to the forum, and the KIA family! I hope your buying experience has been a great one.

Being around for only a few years, the Forte does not have a tremendous aftermarket following. However, there are plenty of neat exterior details, from OEM accessories such as mudguards and sunroof visors to body kits, grilles and hood lift kits out there if you're interested.

A quick search on E-bay yields some of the following results:
-Halo Projector Headlights; (I'd stay away from these because I've heard horror stories of bulbs running out very quickly, and KIA specifically states in the manual not to tamper with the lights, so you could void your warranty, they do look very attractive though!)
-Roadrunner grilles for sedans and coupes.
-Pre-cut tints.
-LED Taillight assemblies (I'm very tempted to go for these myself!)
-OEM-style spoilers/wings (be warned, however, that many of these use fake images of just Google images Fortes)
-Lowering springs (Eibach has a kit somewhat designed specifically for the Forte)

I would also recommend several other websites to help you personalize your car:

Hope you enjoy your stay on these forums, keep in touch and post plenty of pictures! Smile

RE: New to Kia
I'll be putting up some pictures as soon as I clean her up some. I come from a Jeep wrangler, so I am used to hundreds of thousands of aftermarket possibilities. I haven't done too much searching, but I have big plans for this car.

RE: New to Kia
Wow, that's quite a difference! The Forte definitely has nowhere near the following of the Wrangler, but what compact car does? You should be able to find plenty of tasteful modifications for your car. Enjoy the much smoother ride and nearly twice the MPG! Wink
