Ugghhh, not soon enough! The collision happened on the 9th of December and it was at the auto repair shop on the 10th. They examined it and figured that I would have it before the New Year (roughly 2 to 3 weeks). I called them last week to see how it was coming along and they said that they had been at a standstill as they were still waiting for the parts to come in from Kia! They had it for a month and didn't have the parts yet! A couple of days later they contacted me and said that the parts arrived and that it would take a few weeks before they could complete it. So.... I'm assuming it may be done by the end of January... 2011

Regardless, my insurance is covering everything since it was not my fault (silly me for sitting at a red light) and they are paying for my Forte LX for as long as I need it. At least they didn't put me in a Chevy or some other crappy rental. I'm still in a Kia!

The estimate came to just over $13,000. They are replacing the two rear quarter panels, the trunk lid, rear bumper, gas tank, exhaust and doing a number of other repairs. About 95 hours of labor estimated.

Take into account that they have to rent me a car for $50/day the whole time, I'm pretty sure that my insurance will be shelling out close to $16,000 to get me back on the road and the car is only worth around $25,000. I thought that they would write it off, but no dice. Huh

Either way, I'm taking it to the Kia dealership to have their mechanics look it over before I sign off on it. It was a brand new car and if anything is less than new I want it to be put back to new condition.

- BLUETOOTH!!! (on every model it's standard. That is HUGE seeing as it's law in most areas now and most car companies only offer it as an option on high level packages or more expensive cars)
- Wiper De-Icer
- Automatic Headlights (leave the lights in the on position and take your key out and open the door and they go off)
- Auto Climate Control (only in Canada I guess)- Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, ABS, 4 Wheel Disc (The Corolla still has rear drum), Side Curtain AirBags
- Sirius Satellite Radio

I really don't think that there is a car in this class or even in the mid-size class that offers this much stuff as standard for a reasonable price. Kia will win over a lot of new customers with their impressive list of features.

Its also available here in the middle east.Mine has it plus with start stop button
.....

these two are the most convenient features in my car.
