windshield problems?
I just bought my new 2012 sedan last Monday. I really want to love it, I do, but I can't see out of the windshield!! I have changed my contact lens prescription, bought new glasses, worn my old ones, adjusted my seats, etc - but I get sick looking out of it! I thought I was nuts until my 7 yr old son noticed it, too. I googled this problem and see that some people seemed to have an issue with the 2011 (?) Optimas. Is anyone else having this issue?
Please be patient with me - if this has been a problem and there is a previous post about it, I apologize - I searched for it, but my head hurts so much from my drive in, that its hard for me to concentrate on the screen. |

RE: windshield problems?
It's no doubt defective. I bought a car 12 years ago that made me sick to drive. I took a day to look real close at the glass and it was delaminated. Windshields are made up of a flexible film sandwiched between two pieces of glass. I took it to the dealer and it was replaced under warranty.

RE: windshield problems?
another case of defective windshield?
I remember, in singapore, there were lot of forte cars having some CRACK RIGHT LOWER PORTION of the windshield with no reason at all. Finally, its a factory defective windshield and its under warranty item. If you born poor, its not your mistake....But if you die poor, its your mistake..... |

RE: windshield problems?
If for some reason they won't replace it for free just crack it with a shovel. Insurance should cover it. ;-)
