Interior lighting
Is it me or is it extremely dark at night inside? i mean i love the darkness but i can see anything other than the red letters everywhere?

I cant tell if i have the shifter for my auto in D or not? its a trip lol

I feel a little more ambient lighting would be beneficial!

and yess i have the interior lights up all they way!

RE: Interior lighting
I got a small blue skull and plugged it into one of my accessory plugs. there are all different options, but it gave me enough light to not need my domes for much. I only have to pull it out when I'm on a trip at night out of town, it's too dark outside to have that much light in the car, but works great around town, and the contrast looks good.

RE: Interior lighting
My interior lighting is red! and wanted to go along with the red scheme...

i was thinking of getting 3 led tubes (2up front under each seat and 1 in the back in the middle) mounted to where you cant see them... hooked up with a door switch when the doors open they turn on... and a switch to turn them on automatically... might be overkill but the idea i think would look great

RE: Interior lighting
you might want to check these guys out http://www.ledunderbody.com/ they have some nice systems exterior and interior as well as full combo sets. if you want single color (red) here it is http://www.ledunderbody.com/Red-4pc-Expa...g-Kit.aspx , best price for quality that I found. was considering doing underbody lights from them, the million color set with wheel well and interior add-ons.

RE: Interior lighting
And http://autolumination.com nice LED festoon lights there (Get 31mm for your overhead)

I'm in the middle of a mood-lighting control assembly for the Forte (Or any car, really). I need a little more time, trying to get the price under $10 in parts.

Current original mods I'm working on:
1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable
2. Mood Lighting - one color (done)
3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap)
4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order
5. Exterior lighting (secret)
6. Exterior lighting (secret)
7. Illuminated front badge (different design)
8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3)
9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!)
10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it)

RE: Interior lighting
yeah i'm just going to post the plans once i re-make this, I think.

Buying parts at Radio Shack arent that much, but in bulk online from mouser.com is about 1/10th the price. Once I get something going, maybe I'll order a bunch of parts for controls (and people can add their own lights, 2v LEDs or pre-made 12v-wired arrays. I'm looking into a dimmer circuit as well just so it isn't too bright.

KIA has a factory-installed mood lighting system, but I havent seen pictures of it or how much it lights up the car.

I have another lighting accent I'm sure everyone will love Smile SECRET for now yet
