Splash Guards for the Koup
Kia now has splash/mud guards available for the Koup (2 DR Forte). These are different from the Sedan (4 DR Forte) splash guards!
Parts Numbers: FRONTS ARE 1MF46 AC000 REARS ARE 1MF46 AC100 Thanks to KiaPartsSource on Kia-Forums. I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty! |

RE: Splash Guards for the Koup
Cheapest ive seen them are $28 but didnt offer free shipping. Retail is about $32 a pair (front or rear). I was told they fit on in the stock screws in the area...could anyone confirm if this is using the screws you took out, if screws come with the kit, or if longer ones are needed? Thanks!
Flat black splash guards will look GREAT on any color Koup! Current original mods I'm working on: 1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable 2. Mood Lighting - one color (done) 3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap) 4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order 5. Exterior lighting (secret) 6. Exterior lighting (secret) 7. Illuminated front badge (different design) 8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3) 9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!) 10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it) |

RE: Splash Guards for the Koup
The Kia splash guards come with everything you need and instructions. When I put them on my sedan the sedan-guards installed in the existing screw holes and came with new screws...I expect the koup guards to be the same. Hopefully, mine will be in on Monday.

I got the splash guards in yesterday and installed them all in less then half an hour. Fronts have three screws (new ones in pkg), rear have 2 screws and 1 bolt (new ones in pkg). Best to have a ratcheting 90 degree crosspoint screwdriver. They look really good - especially the rears. Will post pics when it stops raining... Pics of the Koup splash guards
Front: Rear: Just to clarify...in the pictures it looks like a gap between the guard and the body at the top -- it is not a gap, it is the reflection of the upper guard's surface in the paint. They fit very well. I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty! |

On other forums the Canadians say the same thing...Fortes in Canada come with splash guards.

Definately worth putting money into this little piece of plastic. |

RE: Splash Guards for the Koup
Just wondering how far the splash guards run up?..and at the bottom how far are they out from the wheel well? I know it tapers but I've noticed after driving when there was salt on the road it seems to throw it pretty high up the wheel well. Anyone have any before and after experience with these? Thanks for any info.
