Auto-climate control
So, the Canadian models come with it stock and the American models do not even offer the option. Huh

After having several trucks with this option, the American SX Koup's seem to have what we need to make this work. We already have in the headliner what seems to be the aspirator fan which pulls in air and measures the temp(based on past experience), and I'm willing to bet the wiring harness' and sensors are all installed as well. I'm thinking this could be a simple plug and play with the correct dashboard components and trim plates.

For any Canadian's planning on taking your dash apart for radio upgrades or just curiosity, could you document your part numbers and maybe even take a few pics of your wiring connectors?

For anyone with an EX or LX model, can you confirm or deny the round plastic part in the headliner with holes in it above the drivers head? I do not believe this to be the mic for the bluetooth as we also have a similar looking small round gille in the dash near the wiper controls, that when covered, the people I talk to can't hear me.

This is all just a hunch, but I would love to actually be proven wrong. Post up some part numbers and I will put this theory to the test.

Care to provide actual, factual info? It looks just like the aspirator fan that was in my Silverado, Sierra Denali, my wifes BMW X3 and her most recent Lincoln MKX and it's in the same location.

Why install two mics and not just locate one mic in the correct location? How do they sync the mics? My list can go on.

Most vehicle mfg's install the same wiring harness' and sensors in all models wether they have the feature or not as a cost saving effort.

A few examples:

The higher end GM trucks come with overhead consoles with lights and homelink...the lower end models have the harness there, all you need is the console.

The lower end trucks do not come with cruise control...replace the multi function lever with one that has cruise control...and you now have cruise control.

Lower end trucks do not have transmission temp gauges on the cluster. Change out the cluster for one with the gauge and it works...the sensor is already there. I've verified this with HPTuners scanner on several trucks that I've tuned.

RE: Auto-climate control
there's a hanging pamphlet (similar to the sirius channel listing) that dealers are *supposed* to put in the cars, and they say that "the microphone is moved yo the front left corner of the roof to accommodate the sunroof" its not word-for-word, but its close enough. ill take pics at work tomorrow if i get the chance

click on videos, then on general operation.

watch from 1:16-1:20

this applies to all kia vehicles with bluetooth.
