RE: front brakes grinding
No weird sounds with the brakes here. How do the rotors look..clean and free of corrosion?

RE: front brakes grinding
I had the same sound I found cruising by the mall. I checked it out, in the lot could not find anything wrong. Figured it was a rock, jammed it in reverse hit the breaks.. fixed my problem. My brakes are squeeky though, really annoying. I am hesitant to bring the car to my dealership over squeeky breaks as the service is not great.

RE: front brakes grinding
everything looked ok as far as i could tell. maybe i'll try braking like that in reverse, though a squeak would get to me just as quick. i've had bad rotors and pads before and it doesn't seem the same at all.

RE: front brakes grinding
how many miles are on your car? its normal if you JUST got the car, as they sit in port waiting to go to the dealership for up to like 3 months...

if the service isn't what it should be, report them to the regional office!

RE: front brakes grinding
i think maybe it was just a small rock or something caught in there. i braked hard in reverse and the noise is gone, also didn't find any grooves or marks on the rotors so i doubt there was any damage done.

did notice after i climbed under there that i cracked one of the plastic covers on the bottom, probably will cost me $100 to get that $5 piece of plastic replaced, i hate that.... wonder if i can just get the part ordered from my dealership and put it on myself, it looked like only a few screws holding it in place.
