RedlineTuning Hood lift kit installed on my Sedan:
NO MORE Hood prop-open bar!!! Install instructions are very good. Need: automotive green tape a pop-rivet gun with 3/16" adapter #11 drill bit...buy one, better than using a 3/16 inch drill bit! Drill Took me 30 minutes to install. Used a sheet to cover the engine compartment for metal flakes from drilling. Hood raises on its' own about halfway up. RedLineTuning.com There are 2 versions available...black or shiney...shiney cost more and have a 4 year warranty. I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty! |

RE: RedLine Tuning Hood Lift Kit - Sedan
I think this is number 2 on my list... number 1 is seat covers, but this is a very close second. I hope my mechanic will install them for me.
what can I say, I love working on cars, but as of late, I've been lazy. Plus, I don't want to have to buy a pop-rivet gun just for one job. oh well. Thanks for the info!

RE: RedLine Tuning Hood Lift Kit - Sedan
You might be able to rent a tool from Autozone. Check if there is one local to you.
I certainly recommend this hood kit...I have it on both my sedan and Koup and will install one again if I buy another car with only a prop rod! I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty! |
