Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

When I had my Stratus I took out the headlight and cracked out the orange plastic. I just stuck a screw driver in the hole where the bulb went into and put pressure on the plastic. It broke in a bunch of pieces and then I just shook the housing till it all fell out. In turn it gave me a clear corner look , and after inserting a super white bulb it gave my turn signal a blue lighting effect. I would like to create this effect with my forte but most likely use a red bulb.

Has anyone taken their lighting assembly apart to know if you can reach that plastic orange signal in the same way I did it to my Stratus??? Also interested to know if that would void any warranty.

I doubt that anything you do to your lense will affect your warranty.

I don't know if I would use RED up front. Aren't blue and red in the front of a vehicle reserved for police and fire respectively?

Yes they are supposed too but, I never was one for listening to rules like that. The other bulb I used when I did the Clear corners to my Dodge looked blue at night and I never had anyone complain about it or suddenly break or pull over because they thought I was a Police officer or ambulance.....

yea mschiavoni I guess there is always that chance...I honestly think cops have better things to do than pull over innocent people decorating their cars how they see fit but the law is the law so if I got a ticket I have to assume responsibility for that. I still think clear corners would look nice though!

its not a problem of merely decorating your car; there's standards (and laws that enforce them) that dictate the color of your turn signals. white/amber up front, and red/amber in the back

mschiavoni...what I am about to say is not attitude directed at you....merely a point....So my lil blue bulb that puts out hardly any light, that doesn't flash or flicker, causes more distraction than some young kid with 1500 watts of bass blasting out of his car, or that 16 year old with the cell phone in hand texting, or the GPS in the front windshield that is so bright that it lights up my car as I pass? I have many more examples. I understand there are laws, but the things that should be enforced (at least where I live), are never frowned upon but throw a little blue or red neon on your car and your a target? Give me a break. I knew at 16 how to tell the difference between a cop car, ambulance, volunteer vehicle or just a car with a small mod...It's ridiculous!!!!!

i understand, and most cops are cool with it. there's always that one by-the-book d***hebag cop that'll nail ya for 46 in a 45... ya know? and i hear ya, it is ridiculous lol.

honestly if i were a cop i'd focus on speeders (dangerous ones, anyway) people texting/on the phone w/o bluetooth, and a couple other laws here in PA (like headlights on when your windshield wipers are)

Exactly...Gotta love our built in bluetooth. I never drove holding my phone. I put it on speakerphone which was a pain due to clarity. Yea I know all about the douchebag cop. My fiance's ex-husband is a Ohio State boy! He doesn't give me grief but sure does my fiance and their son. I can't believe they give these people guns to carry....Anyway I am just glad you didn't take my reply personal...I've had that happen before just venting over things that make no sense.
