How-to: take off silver plastic part from rims
I was looking at some pics and noticed some of you took off the rim add-on piece and wanted to know how you smart people did it. A friend of mine wanted to take my rims and put it on his civic and i have some extra rims from my last car that i was thinking about putting on my koup.

So if anyone can help me, either that or give me your opinion if i should change them to my other rims.

You would have to remove each wheel and there should be screws that you can screw off from the backside. and then the silver inserts should come off.
Its a pain to remove each wheel but it is worth it Smile

i was afraid that they wouldn't fit. I figured they would because they fit because they fit my 300zx which was also a 5 bolt but i didn't check the measurement, anyways thanks for the info for the rims. I will do that soon. first project with the car! WOOO! unless you call installing seat covers a project. =p

Hey KennyC thanks brother for the pics. It was what I was looking for exactly. Those rims look good without the silver inserts. I think I just saved a few $$$$ by seeing this and doing this mod instead of buying new black rims. Also thanks for the welcome on the other thread.

LOL...they take away from the clean lines of the car IMO. I cleaned the wheel wells after taking those pics. About 19,000 miles on the car so far with zero rock chips on the fenders or rear quarter panels.
