LED front blinker
I changed the bulbs in my side mirrors to white LED's and that went fine. I have now changed the bulbs in my front turn signals to match. When I lock and un-lock the doors the LED's light up fine. When I turn on the lights and use the turn signals they don't work at all. Is there another bulb number I need to get for this to work, or is it something else I need to do. I purchased 1157 LED's. Thanks

RE: LED front blinker
Are you sure you used 1157s? Were there 2 posts on the bottom of the bulbs or just one. Don't forget that these LEDs can be bad from the start -- the first AND ONLY white 1157 LED I tried smoked when I installed it -- didn't try another one!

I've already had to replace 1 of the 4 1157Rs I installed (red 1157s).

I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty!

There were 2 posts on the bottom. No smoking or anything when installed.

I have installed 1157 92smt led for my parking/turn signal and for my 4 rear lights. Everything's fine. no problem at all ! Have this since 1 year.

by the way, the entire car is in lighting leds, no incandescent at all.

Even I am using 1157AST yellow lighting, it has high intensity and it work properly. I have this for more than 18 months , but I don't have any problem with it.

White, amber, and red bulbs have the bayonet knubs in different locations on the base. If you use the wrong color, the two connections won't line up correctly. The result will be some light indication working while others do not. If amber is called out, and you used white, that is the problem.

Ahh...i did not know that. By any chance do you know if there is any way to get around this. The white bulbs just look so much better in my opinion lol. Thanks for the help.

Replacing the socket is the only way. DOT law states the headlights, driving lights, and reversing lights can be white. Amber is reserved for front and rear turn signals, and side markers (except rear side). Red is reserved strictly for the rear and the rear tails and brake lights can only be red. Amber or red can be used for the turn. That's why the sockets are different for each color. It forces you to obey the law. If you don't have the lights the right color in the right place, and you get pulled over by a cop, he's well within the law to ticket you for every out of place light.
