RE: Buying a Forte 5
My wife just bought the 5 door Hatchback SX, and I believe it was 19K with a 6 speed manual, auto-dimming mirror, sunroof (not sure if this is standard on the SX), and some other nice to have features. Seemed like a decent value, it's fun to drive, and she LOVES it.

RE: Buying a Forte 5
I haven't got one yet due to the bad weather here in Oklahoma City. But i had contacted my local dealer by email and was quoted $18,869.00 out the door. List MSRP was $20,840.00 Silver SX..

OP make sure to look on Kia.com and look for "specials" in your area too...factory rebates, special APRs, money for specific trade-ins, etc. I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty! |

RE: Buying a Forte 5
I've been looking at an EX automatic for my wife. The only option she wants is the sun roof which should make it easy to find what we want on the lot. The best deal we've seen online is in the neighborhood of $17,500 which is what we're going to offer. We probably won't buy until late Spring since we have a few home improvement projects coming up.

RE: Buying a Forte 5
I just purchased a brand new 2011 Forte SX package, sunroof, fog lights, automatic w/paddle shifters, 17" rims, NO LEATHER SEATS, and I went out the door $20K ... It might be more than some pay around the country, but man I love my car !!!! I got the blue, and it's the only one I have seen around ... I'll post pictures soon

RE: Buying a Forte 5
I just traded a car for the Forte EX 5 door so can't give direct cost. I did get a $500 for trading a "comparable" car (Ford Focus) and there was a $1000 rebate offered for Feb. Seemed like a good deal-- went from an '09 Focus to an '11 Forte for about 4.3K difference plus tax.
