The clock stopped and won't turn off
So, we just got our 2011 Fortes about 2weeks ago. The clock in the sedan stopped at 1:59 and when the car is off it stays illuminated. Anyone hear of this problem? I'll be taking it to the dealer on Monday and will post whatever it is they have to tell me.

RE: The clock stopped and won't turn off
Lmao Chino!
I did some searching around here on the internet and found out that the "memory fuse" is the one w/ with the plastic piece around it. Pull it, wait about 10 seconds and voila! Whether or not it stays fixed? Well, as Chino say, "Only Time Will Tell" ;-) I also found that Kia released a TSB for this problem and that the dealerships have an actual way of fixing it. Supposedly more thorough than pulling a fuse. They probably unplug the + on the battery lol. -Your Friendly Neighborhood Social Media Specialist - http://www.Twitter.com/TonyLibations

RE: The clock stopped and won't turn off
Ok, here we go.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the “ACC” position. 2. Remove the fuse box cover from the left side of the instrument panel. 3. Locate the 15A yellow audio fuse (shunt fuse) in the fuse box. 4. With the “M” button of the digital clock pressed, momentarily remove the “Audio Fuse” from the socket then push it back in place. (at least 3 sec) 5. The compensation mode of the digital clock will be displayed. (Now release the "M" buttton) You should see The following values on the digital screen. Numbers may vary. Time compensation value = 1:7 - (Odd number) Time compensation value = 1:6 - (Even number) 6. If the time compensation value is an odd number, change it to an even number by pressing the “H” button ONCE. Example: 1:7- ▶ Pressing “H” button 1 time will give you 1:6 ... if you have for 1:3-, then press once "H" and you will get an even number such as 1:2-. 7. After adjusting the time compensation value, turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK” position. 8. Turn the ignition switch to the “ACC” position, and verify that the digital clock displays “1:00.” Adjust the digital clock to your current local time. If you want the temperature in mode celcius, hold both (H & M) bottom for 2sec and release them ... if you want 24H mode, press and hold both (H & M) for 4-5 sec and release ![]() Hope it's gonna help ! Wow, thanks for the help dimmuborgir91. That may be a two person job, but i'm pretty sure i understand what you're saying to do.
I found out how to switch the temp to Celcius and the clock to 24hr by accident. Had a heck of a time switching it back. Thought i was gonna catch hell as it's her car, not mine. -Your Friendly Neighborhood Social Media Specialist - http://www.Twitter.com/TonyLibations
