Info About Getting Switchblade Key
Does anyone have any links to someone reliable selling the housing for a switchblade key setup?

The "best looking" switchblade on ebay seems to be this particular setup:

But I'm not too fond of the design. (IMO, still far superior to the standard kia two-piece setup)

I would love to have this one (the NEH100-ESI Folding Key):

But can't seem to find any sellers at the moment. Though "http://www.radicargarage.com/kia.php" does have the item listed, they only mention "wholesale price for a minimum of 15 pieces" and I don't think I need more than one piece at the moment Tongue

If anyone has made a switchblade some pics/commentary about performing the change would also be greatly appreciated! Hope someone can help!

If they're only available in bulk, maybe I'll buy them and we can do a group rate...

I'd be in for a group buy on the NEH100! It looks sweet and would fit in my pocket way better than the current config we have.

RE: Info About Getting Switchblade Key
$39?! Count me in for one, maybe two!

Current original mods I'm working on:
1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable
2. Mood Lighting - one color (done)
3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap)
4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order
5. Exterior lighting (secret)
6. Exterior lighting (secret)
7. Illuminated front badge (different design)
8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3)
9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!)
10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it)

RE: Info About Getting Switchblade Key
I contacted Nigel at Radicargarage.com and he quoted me $64 USD for a single unit. There is another $35 USD shipping to North America and then taxes and duty. Pretty pricey for a single key, but they will sell a single unit. Here's his email back to me:

Hi,

The price of the flip key is USD$ 64 per piece

Taxes in your country would be borne by you. As for the shipping to Canada on Express EMS service which would take from 1 -4 working days to Canada, it will be USD$ 35 + USD$ 64 = USD$ 99

Thanks & Regards,

RE: Info About Getting Switchblade Key
I know the lock cylinder is recessed only a tiny bit, but will this design interfere with being able to put the key in all the way?

If Home Depot screws up your key cut, you're out the money. Are key inserts available?

My idea for a budget:

I think I can offer a deal for these. (lol)
