2010 Forte Aerodynamics Package
Just purchased a 2010 Forte EX Sedan that had the aerodynamics ground effects package installed. Bought the car during a very windy period so thought nothing of how much it got tossed around on the highway at higher speeds. Well, the wind has died down, but the car still has that "squirrly" feel at higher speeds...kinda like when you're behind an 18 wheeler. Wouldn't logic dictate that the ground package would give you better stability than lessen it....and it's only noticeable at speeds over 70-75...which you have to drive at times to stay alive around here...LOL. I test drove the same car without the aerodynamics and it didn't seem to have that problem. Has anyone else experienced this??
Thanks

RE: 2010 Forte Aerodynamics Package
My Koup feels a little squirrelly at times too. I think it's due to the tires riding along the grooves in the cement(as opposed to asphalt) highway. I hate that I95 through Florida is cement like a driveway rather than asphalt like the common road. While it probably lasts longer it's horrible for causing cars to hyrdroplane. When it's dry you can see grooves in it as if someone dragged chains behind them and my tires always stick to it like a train on a track made by drunks.
