Some spoilers I'm working on.

I wasn't really impressed with most of the lip spoilers and upper rear window spoilers on the market so I decided to make my own.

First I taped over all the areas I would be working with, so as not to damage the paint. Then I laid out the bases for the spoilers in fiberglass...



After that, I started to build them up and shape them...






Once I had them off the car and cured to the rough shape, I went in and laid more fiberglass on it to get closer to the final shape I wanted. After I had all the fiberglass laying done, it got a quick coat of fiberglass filler to get it closer to the finished surface, and not have to fill it too deep with bondo. Then it was time for some test fitting again, to make sure everything stayed the shape it was supposed to...









Now I just gotta get it all smoothed out with plastic filler, prime it and paint it. I'll put it on the car and run it for a while to make sure I like how it looks, then after a few weeks I'll pull it off and use it as a plug to make a mold so I can sell these. Hopefully with and without a LED brake light.


I still got to do the fiberglass filler on the upper window spoiler too, then that will be ready for the same stuff this will. I'll get pics of that spoiler up later this week.
