Stop Lamp Switch
Can someone tell me what a stop lamp switch has to do with my car jolting foward at 2000 rpms? I took it to the dealership this morning beacuse of the jolting, they said it was a surge and that they ordered a stop lamp switch for the car and that might help the surging. That makes no sense to me...

That makes no sense to me... The stop lamp switch is monitored by the computer and has to be active in order to shift out of park. It also is utilized by the ABS, and any number of engine systems. It's not just a stop lamp switch anymore. _________________________________ Brad "Textbooks teach how to think in-the-box, the real world teaches how to think outside-the-box."
