Mood Lighting DIY (in the works)
http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm

About halfway down the page, you'll see:

"7 Color Selectable 6 Led Array
Choose any of 7 colors simple by switching on and off"

This company holds a patent on a simple electrical design so the LED lamps can be reversed and have constant current for proper light levels and longevity http://www.google.com/patents?vid=USPAT7345433

I'll get one with my other order for my festoon (thats the style of bulb) lights for the dome and see what the output is, see how many I'd need and where they'd go. I can design a remote switching device, I'll see where I can put it in the Koup to hide it but also make accessible. I'm thinkiung a microswitch and tiny SS relay (if theres low enough leakage that the LEDs wont always be on).

If someone beats me to it, please post your own DIY!

Current original mods I'm working on:
1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable
2. Mood Lighting - one color (done)
3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap)
4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order
5. Exterior lighting (secret)
6. Exterior lighting (secret)
7. Illuminated front badge (different design)
8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3)
9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!)
10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it)

RE: Mood Lighting DIY (in the works)
I've just finished up with a working model on a breadboard on my bench. The holidays and last semester of school really took all my time away.

Total cost was over $60 in parts...to me, it's too much. I think if I use the LEDs from the link I provided, it should be about $10 + cost of their lights, plus whatever will be used to mount them. I'll get it done by the end of this month. Just too cold right now > <

RE: Mood Lighting DIY (in the works)
I have seen a couple of comments mentioning that after a few weeks the speaker lights became annoying and they just keep them turned off.
