Front suspension noise
Went to my dealer today for oil change and front suspension noise.
I had barely time to put my butt on the couch that they call me. Service told me that they want my Koup for 3 hours because they want to change both front ball joint!
Went back to grap my ride after 3 1/2 hours and they told me that both top plate were shot?!?!?! They have to order the parts so I need another appointment.
How on earth top plate could be shot ??? The car is 3 month old!?!?
Anyone have this issue?? Could it be a bad part or a bad design and I'll be there every 3-4 month for new top plate??

RE: Front suspension noise
I went over this "dip" in the road that had evened out quite a bit in the summer...so I hit it at 30 MPH and the car bottomed out. It makes noise all the time now, but I'm pretty sure it made the noise before this.

1250 miles on it...its really too cold and crappy out to hear anything anyways...all kinds of noise now. Got another 5" of snow on top of last week's 6-9 inches, so it wont be any time soon.

Current original mods I'm working on:
1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable
2. Mood Lighting - one color (done)
3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap)
4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order
5. Exterior lighting (secret)
6. Exterior lighting (secret)
7. Illuminated front badge (different design)
8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3)
9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!)
10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it)

Seriously guys...how do you drive your cars? Bottoming out the car isn't a good idea on any car. Slow down a bit on rough roads, pot holes, and speed bumps...will make your cars last a lot longer...LoL

I like my Kias with their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty!

Remember, winter has only just started here in the northeast. By the end of February, it will be like driving on the moon. And with the economy most towns and cities are in no hurry to send out crews to rid the roads of pot holes. Slow down a bit and leave room between you and the driver in front of you so you can see any oncoming pot holes and be able to dodge them.

YES! and snow plows have a way of magically making new potholes, and existing ones bigger...
