RE: HUGE problem last night with engine...any one else has this problem?
So I did some light searching through the owners manual because I thought that button only has to do with stability control. I wasn't able to find any info on traction control. As far as I can tell that button only turns off the stability control which relates to assisting the driver in regaining control in steering difficulties by applying brakes to certain wheels and/or reducing engine power.
Maybe it does turn off the traction control too but fails to mention that in the owners manual. |

RE: HUGE problem last night with engine...any one else has this problem?
I would agree and say that traction control is disabled with the ESC. I drive on ice roads here in this town because it is essentially an ice cube; with the esc off I can spin my tires all the way through the top of second, with it on, I cannot slide them at all. I know that my 07 wrangler had the esp, it would only disable up until 60kph then would come partial on above that. **correction** esp to esc. Thanks rekoup lol.

How to test ESP:
Am I off-base here?
Current original mods I'm working on: 1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable 2. Mood Lighting - one color (done) 3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap) 4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order 5. Exterior lighting (secret) 6. Exterior lighting (secret) 7. Illuminated front badge (different design) 8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3) 9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!) 10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it) |

I am a dumb ass who doesn't know anything about cars, so should I have this option on or off when I am driving on icy roads?

On. If spinning in snow might want to turn off.
