USB key problem with hid's
I have hid's on my car, and when listening to an usb key, when I turn on my low beam or high beam, the key just get a reset and restart at the beginning .... Am I the only one to have this problem ? Those with HID's kit can try this to see if I'M the only one. Thanks

RE: USB key problem with hid's
Oki thanks, They're might be something wrong with the wiring on this car, I experience a lot of trouble Sad ... I'll return to the installator of my hid's to know where he connected the wires. It's very strange

Might be the installatio of my remote starter too that may be installed in the wrong way.

RESOLVED
Finally Resolved the problem. Bad installations by professionnel !!! Grrrrr.

when they say do it your self ... I should have done it at first time. Rewire all the wiring by myself and now everything works fine.

Moderator, if you want to delete this thread. Go Ahead, I'm pretty sure I was the only one with this problem.

Won't be helpful in the future

Thanks

RE: USB key problem with hid's
When they installed my high beam kit hid, they used to bybass the drl's. So they utilised a system of relay that seems to have cause the problem. It might have caused the interference problem too... gonna reinstall all my leds this afternoon to check this out.

When I rewired my hid's kit, except for the fog, I didn't use the ground of the socket, but I used ground body to prevent any interference.

Everything works for now....

Thanks for your help Kenny

RE: USB key problem with hid's
Finally, I still have the problem ! Very strange, I reinstall all my original kia bulbs and now, my usb key doesn't restart. I try reinstalling only 1 ballast with my low beam, and when I turn on my headlights, it reboot again. Try 3 different ballast and always the same problem. The only thing I don't know, it if I use a digital ballast instead of an analog one, Am I going to have the same problem ! Very pissed off. Pretty simple to install HID normally on a car ! I suspect the installation of my remote starter to may be cause that problem.

Umm, the simplest way to bypass the DRLs is to remove the DRL fuse in the passenger fuse box. These are professionals, you say? Well, I guess the can bill you more with a more complex solution.

RE: USB key problem with hid's
I search for quite a long long time to resolve my problem ! Simply try to wrap with aluminium foil your wire starting from the dust cap on the headlight to the end of your ballast ! (BE SURE THERE'S NO VISIBLE WIRE STARTING FROM YOUR HIGHBEAM DUST CAP). After you wrap with aluminium foil, protect the aluminium with some kind of adhesive aluminium tape(i used that) or electrical black tape standard. If you only want to test my technic, don't wrap with any tape at the moment, if everything works, then wrap Smile You should resolve the problem, if not ! you'll have to do some tricky works with your radio wires ... I hope the aluminium will resolve your problem Smile ...if not ! Tell me and I'll help you out again with the other alternative Smile Am I enough clear ? quite difficult to explain Tongue

Hope it'll be helpful ! Good luck
