KIA sent me a free iPod cable today (Feb 8)
I was sent a semi-formal "thank you" letter for buying my KIA (Delivery Dec 2nd 2009 I think) and a list of links, telephone numbers, and what was covered under warranty...including reminders of roadside assistance.
Included was also what I call a "dummy's guide to gas mileage" and a 1-page flier of the bragging rights of the KIA lineup for 2010. In the package...a KIA-brand iPod cable! I was very happy to get this letter, and only disappointed because I'd just purchased an iPod cable on eBay for $16 shipped  Those of you that were thinking of buying one, you might want to wait a week or so...I dont know if everyone is getting this. With that said, enjoy your Forte! Current original mods I'm working on: 1. iPod dock for console from an aftermarket iPod cable 2. Mood Lighting - one color (done) 3. Mood lighting - multi colors (done, trying to rework to make it cheap) 4. Exterior lighting front (secret) parts on order 5. Exterior lighting (secret) 6. Exterior lighting (secret) 7. Illuminated front badge (different design) 8. Push-to-change-color LED dome lamps (use plans from #3) 9. Removing silver SX rim inserts (someones already done it, looks great!) 10. Rewiring fog lamps to stay on with brights (dimmuborgir91 beat me to it) |

Was just about to post this! It also mentioned a Kia magazine called "Open Road". I wish I wouldn't have paid $40 for my cable a few months back. Oh well. Thanks Kia!

Okay, now I'm miffed. My Lovely Lady bought a Kia Soul about a month after I bought my Koup. About a week ago she got the same package. Both she and I had already purchased the 40 USD Kia iPod cable from the dealership. So, thought it's pointless, I still want the recognition. I mean, the soul has been out for what, 3 years. I buy a first-run car, the second person in 100 miles to take one off the lot, and "enjoy your car" is all I get from Kia? Lame. I'm going to go cry in my Cheerios now.

Wife and I both bought Forte SX sedans in early November, and got the dealer to through in a pair of cables. We have not seen this, but this weekend we got two $25 Mastercard debit cards for taking time to answer the phone call survey about our buying and delivery process.
