Trip Computer Upgrade
Hi. Does anyone know if the EX trip computer can be upgraded to the SX standard? I thought I saw a thread on this, but I can't find it.

I keep my own mileage numbers, but it would be cool to have the instantaneous numbers and the distance-to-empty figures.

They make an app for the iPhone for like $180 that will turn the iPhone into a pretty capable computer, but I like to keep things OEM as much as possible.

If anyone has any info, it would be much appreciated.

RE: Trip Computer Upgrade
The iPhone app mod doesn't affect anything since it just plugs into the OBDII port under the dash and is wirelessly sent to the iPhone so pretty much oem in terms of install. Much better for tracking vehicle statistics too.

Check it out: http://www.ot-2.com/
It sounds awesome, the fact that it is also a OBDII scanner is pretty cool too.

Not sure where something like this falls on my wishlist. I still haven't decided what seatcovers I want yet. lol.

I guess what I meant by OEM is that I didn't want to have to look at my iPhone to see the efficiency numbers... plus, I'm not sure what the laws say about looking at your PHONE while driving, even if you're not calling or texting, you know? Seems pretty dangerous to be looking at the phone screen while driving.

I guess I could get a mount for my iPhone... hmmm.

In Canada the law say that you can use device (screen, GPS and such) as long as it's for driving purpose. Gauge do fall it this!
