Sticking in the rain

Sticking in the rain
After a rain fall and perhaps a day without driving the car the windows stick a little when lowering...like an adhesive is being broken between the rubber gasket and glass...Not terribly so but enough to worry that maybe the window motor someday might break??? Is there a silicon application or something else that I can apply to the gasket to keep the window from sticking?

RE: Sticking in the rain
I use silicone spray regularly on all my cars. Keeps the glass moving freely, and preserves the rubber.

Speaking of rain, When you open the driver's door after it has been raining does water from the roof drip down all over the seat?

I've had a few cars with that issue. Nothing you can do when there's no lip on the roof edge to redirect the water.

RE: Sticking in the rain
Oooh windows... I thought this was going to be about tire issues in the rain, or the traction control.

The car has never been in the rain yet, so never mind. Big Grin

RE: Sticking in the rain
Well we had plenty of rain this year in So.Cal, but the car just got off the ship a couple months ago. But I do a quick rinse everyother day to remove the dust. Plenty of opportunity to be wet but no sticky window issues yet.

Love the rain, but hate getting it clean afterwards. Maybe I'll drive the old car on the wet days. Cool
