air bag warning light problems
We bought Forte LX with 17,000 kms, after 3 months of trips to the dealership, air bag light still coming on and staying on, each trip back they get codes, clear them, have done numerous repairs, (seat belt assembly, pretensioner replacement, etc) one time the light came back on before I even got on the street, and then another less than 100 kms driven, now the dealership tells us its due to installation of electronic rust control module when we purchased the car, they disconnected that, cleared the code again, light came back on 60 kms later, however, the issue started before that installation, not very happy with the situation, so now the pretty little car sits in their parking lot, wonder what they will try now! Anyone have any similar experiences and had the problem solved? Any info would be greatly appreciated. BTW - Gas mileage is awesome, 49 mpg in Canada!

RE: air bag warning light problems
Is there another Kia dealer in your area? Sounds like the dealer you have has some lame techs. You can also file a complaint with Kia Corporate. Your last resort will be the arbitrator.

As an after thought, you don't have anything sitting in the passenger seat when this happens?

RE: air bag warning light problems
There is another dealer in the area, and that is probably our next step, after talking to Kia Canada to see what their view is. Nothing in the passenger seat at all, thanks for your input, much appreciated. Will post the resolution if it ever happens Smile oops when it happens, gotta think positive.
