I have straight piped my SX koup with 2.4L and It was OBNOXIOUS!!! I put the cat back on and ordered a resonator from OBX Racing (2.5" 22 inch long high flow resonator) and with that, I could put the high flow cat (test pipe) back on and the sound levels were about the same as when I had a cat back system w/n1 racing 4.5'' muffler on it. and I can feel a slight increase in power throughout the power band....I dont recommend straight piping it, it is very loud and annoying!!
