My first modification...Very small mod
So I just felt like making a small change to the interior just so I could get looking around and see how manageable running wires would be once I get to a point of making bigger upgrades...Bought some of that 8" RED FLEXI LED from Autozone and installed it in the gap above the USB port and 12v sources...Hid the wire and jumped off the fuse box with a add-a-circuit. Lit up very nicely. Looks almost as if it was meant to be there. Thanks god, no more fumbling in the dark to plug in my USB or Droid.....

Here are a few different angles (sorry so blurry, it was dusk), and finally a pic of my Titanium EX. The dreaded NE OHIO fall weather is upon me so I have to wait for next spring to start some much needed mods, starting with 18" wheels and tint. Then maybe a wing, new grille, fog lights, and a tad more chrome accents.

Not bad, seems to match the rest of the lighting.

Looks good and also very bright! Have you thought about splicing into your dimmer switch, or is that even an option with the LED's you have?

RE: My first modification...Very small mod
Yea it is actually allot brighter than I expected and that was only one of a set of two. I am sure it could be put on the dimmer somehow. I just jumped off the clock fuse since it was only a 10W....

Next thing I want to do is add some tubes under the dash to shine down on the floor. Didn't see many options for mounting though. Guess I will figure out something.

Yea figures the NE OHIO weather will be nice this weekend while I am working 3 straight days of 12's and my last 3 days I just had off all it did was rain, rain and rain....Only a few more years till my move to S.C.....

I was just about to ask the same question. Very nice Mod though. A little bright for me taste, but very nice nevertheless. Smile

RE: My first modification...Very small mod
Actually it isn't that bright....I think because it was dusk out and the flash it may have overexposed the light.

I took this pic off Google. It's the best way I can explain it. If you touch the panel that the USB/12V Ports are on and run your finger upward you will find in that area a raised portion about 1/4" higher. This is where I mounted the LED and it was a perfect fit. You can't miss it. Since it's slightly raised higher the LED isn't noticeable unless your on the floor looking up. Then I ran the wiring behind the dash and into the fuse box. There is so much empty space behind the dash you really don't have to really look hard to find a space.

BTW...I have to say the color is 95% identical to the dash lights so it looks pretty much stock and most of the light is contained in that lil compartment. It isn't distracting at all. At least not to me.
