Decided on a Kia Forte Koup SX

Iv'e been looking at the new Soul or the Forte Koup .Iv'e desided on the Koup SX for it's body style, horse power, and interior trims. The Soul seems to have just too many problems. Along with a plane Jane interior no leather,and an under powerd engine ,where the Forte has deliverd a fine ride inside and out...
 
Hi Ratdaddy.. I think the Kia Koup will be a lot more fun to drive. What problems have you heard about concerning the Kia Soul?
 
Over at Kiasouls.com there are at least 140 posts on problems with the Soul. From spider cracks in the windscreen bad trany's and complete engine failures. Don't get me wrong i liked the Soul. But with all the small probs i got a little gun shy.. When Kia released the Forte Koup i fell in love...I think Kia got this one right..The Forte is a proven ride....
 
that's the same decision i made. i've been looking into the soul for about 3 months and i am really glad i waited. i was already also considering the forte but as soon as i saw the koup my mind was made up. i'm getting and SX in the copperhead color with leather, now only problem is getting one here to west texas.

Is the leather not included in the SX? Either way, congrats. I hope your wait isn't too long.

Also, not too happy to hear about Soul problems. Isn't the 2.0L in the EX the same engine?  :-/

Don't think they are the same unless they are tuned differently, in the Soul the 2.0 has 142hp and the Forte's has 156hp.
 
Passed by my Kia dealer today and oboy Koup on the lot. It was a blue EX 2.0 grey wheels, took a short test. Drove very well good power and pick up. Now for those that need to know, i am 6'1 318 Lbs OK FAT but i fit with ease in the seat plenty of leg room hip room and head room. The seat side bolster was just a little tight but not uncomfortable to sit in ,all in all very nice ride....

Nice pictures.  I too want to get the SX Koup but it's not available here yet.  I like the blue color with perhaps some black time attack rims.
 
Picking up a Black SX Koup soon. Leather IS standard on SX models, as well as the moonroof.

the moonroof comes standard , but not the leather package , unless you're in Canada ;)

Nope!! They did have TPMS standard though!!
I think Kia wanted to keep our northern butt warm with heated leather seats standard! Tx Kia:D

Leather isn't a standard on the SX models. I have a SX with cloth and a sunroof. It's a thousand dollars more for leather...
