I am debating on putting a Hitch on my Forte Koup. I don't want to haul anything I just want to buy one of those bike carriers that attach to hitches.

Currently I use one of those trunk mounted bike carriers and it will eventually damage the car.

Would a hitch look stupid on a Koup? and do they even make them?

Yes they do, and all you really see is the little square piece. I've bought all my last 10 yrs worth of hitches from eTrailers.

I have seen them on E-bay for our koups for sale. They are a class-1 hitch so it would work for your needs Bakrauf. I used to have a hitch on my old 1986 300ZX to pull my jet ski around. I would'nt want to tow anything bigger than that with these koups.

Please post pics. I am about to move from Southern Indiana to NW Texas. Would love to mount one of those basket/tray things to haul more crap. I'll be staying in a hotel for a month or two while the wife is selling the house up here...so I need to bring a bunch of crap to the hotel with me!

Do you have a part number for the hitch? What size is the receiver?

I bought this off of Ebay CURT 11019, Class 1 Receiver Hitch - 1-1/4" Receiver Tube. All I want mine for is to Transport bikes on a bike rack and I may get one of those baskets you are talking about. The Hitches are about $150.00 no matter where you get them at. As you can see the side view you can hardly tell it is even on there. The back photo I bent down to get a straight shot other than that you cant tell its there. If you need other angles let me know.

It comes with a piece that you can mount a Ball hitch on, but i dont plan to tow anything. When the bike rack gets in Ill post picks of that as well. I think a basket would kick ass on this hitch and give you a whole lot of extra room, like for a beer cooler!

Not bad...I've considered a hitch to tow a pedal boat around with on my sedan...not much weight at all.
