humm i don't know... but where i can feel it most is in neutral, trying to rev the engine a little bit... like trying to rev match while downshifting...

but otherwise, it's a really good car! this is doesn't affect my opinion of the car...

for me its the best price for the buck, i changed my 2008 mazda 3 gt full load (value of 31 000+- taxe in wish is ALOT if you compare to the kia koup SX that have the same equips, more powerfull climate control, a FRONT defog wish I didnt see in any other cars in its class these days ! never tried it too ! I can't wait :D , if you compare the 2 one side by side the kia is even less than the mazda 3 gt in insurance price for aprox 30$ for me! and more and more ....

didnt get the car but im sure its a good deal , Im affraid about the manuel 6 speed gearbox with was suppose to be weird (badly staged !) its cannot be bad than my 5 speed gearbox on the mazda 3 I hope so ! :-/

by the way I paid all taxe-in at albi mascouche 23 565$ all include and they take my old car for 17 000 $ its a good deal !

Sorry for crossing over between the sedan and coupe forums, but it doesn't make sense to recreate this thread for the sedan as well. In Canada we have some different features listed as standard in the SX Sedan.

- BLUETOOTH!!! (on every model it's standard. That is HUGE seeing as it's law in most areas now and most car companies only offer it as an option on high level packages or more expensive cars)
- Wiper De-Icer
- Automatic Headlights (leave the lights in the on position and take your key out and open the door and they go off)
- Auto Climate Control (only in Canada I guess)
- Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, ABS, 4 Wheel Disc (The Corolla still has rear drum), Side Curtain AirBags
- Sirius Satellite Radio

I really don't think that there is a car in this class or even in the mid-size class that offers this much stuff as standard for a reasonable price. Kia will win over a lot of new customers with their impressive list of features.

i had a 2010 corolla for ONE MONTH, and got rid of it cuz it didnt have those features...

Can anyone explain exactly how the wiper de-icer works?
I have it on my car, and had to use it once but I don't know how it de-ices the wiper.

Koup I was wondering the same thing last night. I was outside scrapping the 1/2" of ice from freezing rain, and wondering about the windshield wiper deicer/warmer. I remember reading in the manual or the sales guy told me there are vents at the top of the hood that blow out hot air. So I stuck my hand infront of it, and no air. Either mines not operational, or I am making shit up. My wipers were hot and deiced though. I was thinking there was a heat strip that is below the wipers on the window like on the back window.. but thats just a guess. I have no idea, just writing my opinion. It is on my list of things to look into tonight.

Well, since I only had my SX Sedan for 2 weeks before it was hit, I didn't get the chance to try the de-icer yet, but the way it should work is that the lower portion of the windshield where the wipers sit has a heating strip in it. When you turn on the de-icer button (by the traction control button) it heats that part of the windshield to melt any ice that is built up between the wiper and the windshield. Very helpful because when your wipers get frozen to the windshield and you try to force them off by chipping the ice, you can damage the wiper blades. Nice feature that not many cars have.

That's how the kiatech.com site says they work. I use mine almost daily. I wish they worked a little better than they do, but am glad to have them none the less.

Thanks JIB! When you getting your car back man?

Ugghhh, not soon enough! The collision happened on the 9th of December and it was at the auto repair shop on the 10th. They examined it and figured that I would have it before the New Year (roughly 2 to 3 weeks). I called them last week to see how it was coming along and they said that they had been at a standstill as they were still waiting for the parts to come in from Kia! They had it for a month and didn't have the parts yet! A couple of days later they contacted me and said that the parts arrived and that it would take a few weeks before they could complete it. So.... I'm assuming it may be done by the end of January... 2011

Regardless, my insurance is covering everything since it was not my fault (silly me for sitting at a red light) and they are paying for my Forte LX for as long as I need it. At least they didn't put me in a Chevy or some other crappy rental. I'm still in a Kia!

Good thing. I hope your car is back to new when you get it buddy. GL to ya.

The estimate came to just over $13,000. They are replacing the two rear quarter panels, the trunk lid, rear bumper, gas tank, exhaust and doing a number of other repairs. About 95 hours of labor estimated.

Take into account that they have to rent me a car for $50/day the whole time, I'm pretty sure that my insurance will be shelling out close to $16,000 to get me back on the road and the car is only worth around $25,000. I thought that they would write it off, but no dice.

Either way, I'm taking it to the Kia dealership to have their mechanics look it over before I sign off on it. It was a brand new car and if anything is less than new I want it to be put back to new condition.
