Those are higher rev engine... Could it be just because they have less dead weight to spin???THE JH said:humm 350z or even a 99 honda civic sedan... it's not that bad.. but i can feel a delay..

- BLUETOOTH!!! (on every model it's standard. That is HUGE seeing as it's law in most areas now and most car companies only offer it as an option on high level packages or more expensive cars)
- Wiper De-Icer
- Automatic Headlights (leave the lights in the on position and take your key out and open the door and they go off)
- Auto Climate Control (only in Canada I guess)
- Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, ABS, 4 Wheel Disc (The Corolla still has rear drum), Side Curtain AirBags
- Sirius Satellite Radio
I really don't think that there is a car in this class or even in the mid-size class that offers this much stuff as standard for a reasonable price. Kia will win over a lot of new customers with their impressive list of features.

I have it on my car, and had to use it once but I don't know how it de-ices the wiper.
JibbaJabba34 said:Well, since I only had my SX Sedan for 2 weeks before it was hit, I didn't get the chance to try the de-icer yet, but the way it should work is that the lower portion of the windshield where the wipers sit has a heating strip in it. When you turn on the de-icer button (by the traction control button) it heats that part of the windshield to melt any ice that is built up between the wiper and the windshield. Very helpful because when your wipers get frozen to the windshield and you try to force them off by chipping the ice, you can damage the wiper blades. Nice feature that not many cars have.

JibbaJabba34 said:Ugghhh, not soon enough! The collision happened on the 9th of December and it was at the auto repair shop on the 10th. They examined it and figured that I would have it before the New Year (roughly 2 to 3 weeks). I called them last week to see how it was coming along and they said that they had been at a standstill as they were still waiting for the parts to come in from Kia! They had it for a month and didn't have the parts yet! A couple of days later they contacted me and said that the parts arrived and that it would take a few weeks before they could complete it. So.... I'm assuming it may be done by the end of January... 2011
Regardless, my insurance is covering everything since it was not my fault (silly me for sitting at a red light) and they are paying for my Forte LX for as long as I need it. At least they didn't put me in a Chevy or some other crappy rental. I'm still in a Kia!
mschiavoni said:wowww.... thats takin forever! mine happened 12/31/09 and they've got it half torn apart already. 1/25/10 EST completion... jib, what was your estimate, if you dont mind me asking? mine was $5,741.28
JibbaJabba34 said:The estimate came to just over $13,000. They are replacing the two rear quarter panels, the trunk lid, rear bumper, gas tank, exhaust and doing a number of other repairs. About 95 hours of labor estimated.
Take into account that they have to rent me a car for $50/day the whole time, I'm pretty sure that my insurance will be shelling out close to $16,000 to get me back on the road and the car is only worth around $25,000. I thought that they would write it off, but no dice.
Either way, I'm taking it to the Kia dealership to have their mechanics look it over before I sign off on it. It was a brand new car and if anything is less than new I want it to be put back to new condition.
