Hey everyone im new to this forum and i just picked up my 2012 silver kia forte koup ex today. im looking for suggestions on which rims i should put on im looking for either all black or black and silver anything will help... also i live in NJ so it is illegal to tint the front windows so what is your input on tinting the small back ones and the back window only?

According to TintCenter.com, it is illegal to have tint of any sort on your front windows and windscreen, but you can have tint as dark as you like on the rear and back window. I personally am a fan of having your windows look as even as possible, so I would say go for a light tint like 50% but get it ceramic so that you get plenty of heat refraction.

As for your rims, I suggest you check out this wheel visualizer, http://tbcwheels.ridestyler.com/?mode=webtk# , and see what you think looks good on your car, because rims are very much a personal preference ordeal. I personally am not a fan of dark wheels on any car because they tend to look like plain jane steelies, but that is just me.

Would love to see pictures of your new Koup as well! Can't wait to see its progression.

It's all a matter of personal taste. I'm not a big fan of black wheels, but I'm an old dude. I prefer chrome or aluminum. I'm a big fan of the old style Keystone Classics if any of you here are old enough to recall them. LOL

Sometimes blacked-out wheels look good. But I'm also an old guy and I like chrome or aluminum myself. I grew up with Cadillacs in the family and always appreciated nice wheels. But gunmetal is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine.

Pictures are always a plus, but that takes posting. Wheels....buy what you like not what others like. You can see wheels on your car by going to www.DiscountTire.com and opening The Interactive Wheel System.

You can also use tirerack.com. They have an application where you can select your vehicle and then click on various wheel styles you like and see how they look on the car.

Rube .... I hate to say it, but tire racks system looks like ass. I just ran across this site and it's bloody nice, but I like discount tires best yet.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, Rj. I'm not offended by your statement. I don't own stock in the company or anything, it's just a site I'm familiar with.

Rube, I didn't think you'd be offended. It's just the others sites have a better app.

Yep, I like the one you posted. Even though I'm flat broke, I still like to look at how various wheels would look on my SC2 or 200. TBC has some nice wheels!

Lots of nice wheels out there for sure..........and the way the other two sites go about showing you how they look on your car stomps tire rack in the ground.
