just joined here, i own a 02 dodge dakota with the 5.9, i call her the gas guzzler, and i just talked to my local dealership about working with them to get me into a new koup! im currently upside down, owe like 9g on the dakota, only worth like 6, so i'd be paying a little more, but i think the 25+ mpg will even it out considering im only getting about 9 right now! so my dealer has about 5 koups on the lot, 2 manuals, 3 autos, and for my test drive i was pretty impressed with the 6 speed! the brakes are TOUCHY, i can say that. one thing that would take some getting used to for sure, car deff. had some get up and go, thing was LOADED OUT. and overall i was really impressed. wasnt a fan of the red, hope they can get a black or white in, but if i had to the red would do.
lets hope i get the car with payments the same as what im paying now and youll be seeing more of me!

Hope to see you on the site more. My advice: get the color you want! If the dealer won't go get one you want...then consider going to a dealer that has the color you want...even if it's a half day's drive.

I was in the same boat, driving a large SUV and was upside down about two thousand dollars.
I didn't tell them I still owed until after they qouted me a payment, and after figuring in the rollover, it didn't go up much.
And the gas will definitely make up for the difference!


btw... go for white, I have a white sedan and I wouldn't trade it for any other color.
