Hi there from Oz

I have made a few changes since purchasing my Koup in October 2010 and I thought I would share them with you. Have added a protective matt black vinyl stripe to the sides. Have painted the silver plastic wheel inserts piano black to match the rest of the mag wheel (in my mind makes it look more aggressive) It is also a better way of doing it rather than leave the inserts out which leaves holes on show and is indeed larger with these in place. Have fitted straight through exhaust still utilizing the twin end tail pipe. Have also changed to the K badges and removed the Cerato badge on the boot (I believe in the States this is a Forte badge). I have also fitted K & N air and oil filters and am using Castrol Edge Sport O/40W oil. On long runs I am achieving 6.4ltrs to 100klms. Have had the windows tinted to the darkest legal tint. Hopefully next addition will be a turbo with 6psi boost which should take the 2ltr. theta engine from 115kw to approx. 150kw. I have also had a wheel alignment and reset as the Koup was pulling very strongly to the left (not set for Australian right hand drive conditions when delivered from factory). It is now very neutral which is how it should be.

Welcome to Kia Forte Forum dot com!

Do you mean that you have a straight exhaust pipe with no resonator or muffler? That must be LOUD!

Sorry I have taken so long to respond to you but I have been away. No I have a muffler but there are no resonators and the side walls are lightly packed in glass fibre - very nice burble. I actually tried to attach a photo but am unable to make it small enough or some reason. Any ideas?

If you have windows and paint you can open your picture in paint and select resize. then you can make it 50% smaller and save it under a different name and try loading it directly to your post - using the "go advanced" button or full edit button.
