Hello everyone.
I just have some questions about the windows on these Koups. Or perhaps any owners of other frameless window cars.
Is it normal for these windows to 'freeze to the seals'? Obviously not under mild weather circumstances, but under 'very cold/extreme cold' circumstances.
I tried to open my window this past night and the motor was unable to open either my driver's side windor or passenger. I tried a few times, no dice. I got out of the car and tried to flatten out/massage the window seal, tried to open the window twice more and it finally opened.
I'm just curious if this is typical. If it is typical, are there any workarounds? In skimming the internet it seems to be a fairly common issue for anyone in colder climates. It seems giving the seals a bit of a treatment with silicone spray/teflon spray prevents this from happening. If I encounter this issue again I will probably give this a good try.
Lastly, for those of you in areas where the temperature rarely drops below -5 celsius/23 fahrenheit I don't think this issue applies to you
Before any thinks to criticize me for the 'foolishnes' of trying to open my windows when its -9 celsius/18 fahrenheit (-21 celsius/-5.8 fahrenheit with windchill), I was simply trying to fold in my sideview mirror and pull into my garage.
Thanks for any help!
[Edit]: If this is in the owner's manual my apologies. I haven't yet had a chance to check it.
