Hi! Just wanted to post a message about using my Koup SX in very cold conditions.

When I got in my car this morning, the temperature was -30 Celsius (that's -22 F for you guys down south :)). The car started right away and it warmed up pretty quickly too.

In fact it did better than my old 2006 Civic used to. In the Civic, if you didn't let the car warm up completely and you put the heater to the max in extreme cold, the engine temperature would drop to almost zero after a few minutes and you would only get cold air form the heater. Not so in the Koup.

The suspension was really stiff for a while, but that's to be expected. I have the auto transmission and it performed well. Naturally, I drove slowly for the first kilometers so everything had a chance to warm up.

So there you have it. No need to go to Alaska to see I your car would perform anymore :)

Thanks for the info. I'm heading to Germany in March and was kind of curious about how my Koupe will hold up in the cold weather. I had a Mustang GT, but traded it in for a more practical car over there.
 
Thanks for the info. My Koup with 6 spd manual performed great at or below freezing temps...never drove it at 22 below though! The manual trans is a little hard to shift until it warms up, but other that, it did great.
 
My 2010 heats up quickly in cold weather, too; unfortunately, gas mileage really sucks until engine temp is normal.
