i've seen some of these posts and tried(futily) to argue back. i drove an si and just did not like the styling. too much sloping, lack of aggression, plus the appeal to have something completely new for my first new car was too hard to resist.

Agreed. Plus the Pricing? No way Honda is gonna win.

Ditto. My first new car at 39. I didnt even WANT to drive a fugly honda.

I was looking at used cars, unhappy with everything. Was at a KIA dealership, was talked into driving one by some kid salesman. I thought I'd entertain him. WOW I was impressed. I really was. And I didnt even know of all the amazing features. I'm STILL finding them out... like how the reservoir holds over a gallon of washer fluid...so no more 1/3 full bottles banging around in the trunk! And if I press the lock on the remote when the trunk is open, the alarm sets AFTER I close the trunk! Ever notice this?

I'm not impressed with any American cars either, except the Fusion and SHO, and the exterior styling isnt the greatest (And the SHO is powerful as all hell, but $49k loaded? UGH! The Fusion, loaded like my KIA, is $31k but with 4-wheel drive...still too much and I make decent money).

I think I'm die-hard KIA now. Six months ago I would have laughed at myself. Now I laugh at people spending $30k an a car that has half the features and value of what my KIA is.

I saw a review, said the Si looks like a floppy shoe, hahahaha
