I just bought my new 2013 koup ex two and half weeks ago. And on Sunday afternoon I was washing it and noticed paint chips missing on the hood of my car. Is this normal?? I drive on 285 in atl everyday and they are redoing the roads and the only thing I can think of is the excess asphalt hitting my car and taking the paint. While driving this road(a very popular interstate) It has also added chips into my windshield. Shouldn't windshields be stronger then that? I don't know, it just kills me for my hood to have above 15 paint chips missing on it when it is a beautiful blue color! and for it to be such a young car still! Any advice??

I attached the larger of the paint chips it about half the size of a pinky nail and the rest vary from that size to the tip of a pen. [attachment=629]

I had two or three minor scratches on the hood of my black koup, too. The angle of it makes it perfect for catching pebbles and other debris. I've learned to be very aware of what i'm following. Keep out from behind semis and large trucks... and anything else with big tires.

A buddy of mine owns a vinyl company and has been trying to talk me into getting the hood wrapped to protect it. I just can't bring myself to let them do it.
