Suggestions

Well the way i see it is... Brand's! Nike, Addidas, Reebok we all know the names and the symbols/Logo's! i just think it would be cool to have a symbol/logo but this is my opinion of coarse and this is not my site? so really this could be all pointless if sal isnt interested... For example i tried on my pic with the merged backwards K and FF doesnt have much imagination and is simple and easy... its something i did in 2 seconds on paint..
 
Yea Sky's the limit! Let your imagination take over..
you dont have to have a Logo tho... for example... my old forum

Thats fantastic!!! try some other ways too even if they are goofy! like the K on top so it looks like its flipped 90 deg counter clockwise... sitting on top the 2 F's but yeah looks sick!

haha maybe, i dunno yet... i was tryin to keep it simple lol.. would be cool if there were some kind of pics to add to it, but i cant think of any...
 
You guys are great (you know who you are)! Thank you. I've created some new forums on the suggestions by FydaForte. So they're up and running. I've been very short on time but there may be a light a the end of the tunnel.. I'll be back soon...
 
Sal, any chance of making the default for length of post longer? I tend to ramble a bit, but I've noticed that even when I quote a long post and try to add to it, I get the "post is too long" message and have to go through my post and chop out some of it to make it fit. It's pretty annoying really. Can you either make the default larger or get rid of the limit all together?

Agreed! Also I would also like to have an active topics button, something that would query for all topics that have had posts in the last week or something. I find that if one of the topics gets out of my new topics, or todays posts, it takes me a good 10 minutes to find it browsing through all the sub sections.

Yes, definitely! Now I don't mean to sound crappy but I'm really picky when it comes to stuff like this. Obviously, I haven't been able to come up with anything good! So when all is said and done, let's get input from the group and eventually agree on something. How's that sound?

I doubled the amount of characters per post from 2000 to 4000. Let's see how that works... Now active topics is something else.. I'm not sure how I can get that done.... The "View New Posts" link doesn't do this? It's to the left of the "View Today's Posts" link...

You can go in your user control panel, click edit options and under the messaging and notifications section, change your default thread subscription mode from "do not subscribe", to "no email notification" (or "instant email notification"...but this can get very annoying when threads get whored up). Then any thread that you post in will be available by going into the User CP and clicking on "subscribed threads", whether they have new posts or not. Obviously, the threads that do contain new posts are moved to the top and in bold like other sections of the forum.
