I like the simplistic layout of the forums, but I believe that there should be more dedicated sections for discussion, such as a Member Show-Off.
In the long run, this will definitely keep the forums nice and tidy.

Coming along nicely. I have to remember to use the "new posts" and "todays posts" links near the top...LoL
 
As these new forums get busier, they will be taken out of "subforum" status and placed as a main link on the forum front page. The reason it's hidden right now is because there are hardly any posts in them. I don't want the forum to look dead - so they're combined until they get busy.. It'll look much nicer when they're right out in front in the open later on....

really like the new layout Sal, it keeps everything organized and easy to navigate.
 
gave the site to the sales manager that i bought my car from, and i think he'll give it out, not sure, it shouldn't be a conflict in interest or anything.

Thank you! It shouldn't be a conflict of interest at all.. This site is NOT run as a business like another one I know of. It's owned by "me" - not a large corporation that buys sites for monetary gain.. I'm an automotive enthusiast who runs forums for the love of running them. I've been doing this since the mid 80s on a Commodore 64 running a BBS (bulletin board system). It's my hobby..
 
Hey Sal...you need a site how-to...LoL. Your site has features I haven't seen on other sites. Examples: The "E-mail" and "PM" buttons in the post to send a message to the poster and the "find" button in the post as well. Nice touches.

(How-to guides) where users show how to on certain things! if there is one im sorry i passed it up!
(logo or symbol!) just like other cars id love to put my car's forum on swag with stickers...shirts etc..
(Regional Forum) For people across the nation! to have meet ups share parts and such!
(Badges) for certain users.. such as premium member, 1000w+ System user, Blacked out user
(Classifieds) For people buying or selling old parts, or random things!!! like xbox's, ps3's, subs, deck's etc

The kia salesperson that sold me my car is always so impressed when we talk about my knowledge of the fortes. He also drives an sx sedan. I told him there is tons of aftermarket stuff, I am do to go in there on the weekend and show him the forums, and some other stuff.

I agree, I like the idea about classifieds on the forum. Customized logos for users would be cool too. An idea I was thinking about is some print out flyer or business cards. I realize this is not a store or anything but for example: There is a KOUP just down the street from my house in a college dorm; never seen the driver or had to chance to speak with him. If I could slip a card or flyer under his wiper that says something like A FORTE OWNER WANTS TO INVITE YOU TO KIAFORTEFORUM.com to talk with them and fellow owners! or something you know..
 
You can usually get free business cards up to like 200 from most sites... just sign up for one of those and throw the site on there?

FREE!!! and easy!!!
