throttle issues

when trying to accelorate it seems like the throttle plate is not opening fast enough as it would had it been a cable driven throttle body. wondering if its just my tps or maybe the actuator?? i work for kia and have hooked it up to our GDS system and ran numerous tests yet find nothing wrong. is this the way it was built?? anyone else have this problem??

I think it done like that. I had the same reaction at the beginning and even now but it seems that it now appears less. The throttle reponse is slow...

Yeah. This is an issue that bugs the carp out of me. I actually bought this car... (I'm a little ashamed to say) because I wanted an automatic to drive in traffic on the way home from work. The daily driving was killing my truck. (345,000 miles in) So I got the coolest auto I could find. BUT, the lag is irritating as hell when in traffic. the lag from stop is almost unbearable. I'm hoping when I find some cash I'll be able to get Kia to find a smaller torque converter. It should make for a better line-launch. As far as the TPS goes, I haven't noticed a lag in the RPM response, just the torque-up. Maybe that's why nothing shows as wrong with the plate?
