I noticed there is no section for TSBs and Recalls. This is always helpful for owners so they have a little ammunition when confronting their dealer with a know issue. There are a few that have been issued on the earlier Fortes, one big one on the 4spd tranny that changed the shift points.

i agree with Kenny C!

With that account you get access to the actual KIA service actions, TSB, etc.

I look on that site about once a week just to be sure. I've even told my dealer there was a TSB he wasn't aware of.

I tried that before I posted, but couldn't get signed up. Just realized it was probably one of those backward sites that caters to IE users and not Firefox users. Got signed up using IE. ;)

Forgot to mention that. Glad you got it working.

Hello!

Thanks to KennyC for posting the link for the Kia Tech Info website! I'll bet it will become a great resource ---- IF anyone has figured out how to register for an account using a Mac computer!

Apple & Microsoft don't always play well with each other, and in 2003 (I believe), Microsoft dropped IE for Mac computers. And with the new dual platform configurations, I doubt I could get it to work even if I could find a download of an old version.

I've tried using Safari & Firefox -- no go. I click the privacy policy link, but only get a blank page. Without being able to read & accept their policies, I can't get further on in the registration.

Has anyone come up with a work around for this? Thanks in advance!
